# Scan and Check In Tickets with the Fikets Scanner > Check guests in from your phone with the built-in Fikets scanner — no app to install, and it keeps working even if the venue WiFi drops. Fikets has a built-in ticket scanner that runs right in your phone's browser — there's no app to install. Once you've downloaded your tickets to the device, it keeps checking people in even if the venue WiFi drops, and syncs everything back when you're online again. ## Opening the scanner - Open Scan Tickets from the top of your Event Dashboard sidebar. - Tap Download tickets once while you're online — the scanner caches this event's tickets on the device so it keeps working if the network drops. - Point the camera at each attendee's ticket QR code and tap Check in. ## Hands-free mode for self-service gates Running an unmanned or fast-moving entrance? Turn on hands-free mode and the scanner checks guests in automatically as they present their QR code — no tapping between each person. ## Good to know - Only tickets for this event are downloaded, and only for team members with access to it. - Check-ins made offline sync automatically once you're back online. - Add gate staff under Team Members so each person's check-ins are attributed to them. - Use the latest version of Chrome or Safari, on a device with a working camera, and allow camera access when prompted. - The scanner also reads the payment QR (transaction reference), so a guest showing their receipt still checks in.
